Greetings trail volunteers -
Please join us this Saturday, February 6th, for the next Sonoma County Trails Council volunteer trail work day at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park from 9am to about 1pm. We will have the added benefit of working with a crew from the California Conservation Corps as we continue to repair sections of Lower Bald Mountain Trail. The CCC's have been working on that trail for a couple of weeks and have made significant progress, and we will be continuing that good work.
NOTE: We are meeting at a different location this month -
Meet us at 9am at the Ferguson Observatory/Group Camp area (at the end of the paved road/Adobe Canyon Road) past the entry kiosk (if someone's there, tell them you are a volunteer for trail work) - and find us at the white Trails Council tool trailer. We will
provide parking passes, tools and Clif bars with beverages and snacks afterwards.
Rain on Saturday cancels the work day.
Please bring gloves, a hat and water that you can take with you while working,
and wear long pants, boots or hiking shoes and sunscreen.
No experience necessary - we have tools and trained crew leaders with
tasks for all strengths and sizes of volunteers.
In order to make sure we have enough tools and after-work beverages
please reply to firstname.lastname@example.org if you plan to attend.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me.
Ken Wells, Executive Director
Sonoma County Trails Council
