! Hi folks -
We checked on the Oakmont Bypass Trail work site today and the ground is over-saturated and will be too wet for a successful work day on Saturday, even if the weather is clear, so the volunteer work day on January 14th is cancelled.
We are planning to try again in two weeks, with Saturday January 28th as the work day.I will send out a work day notice in a week or so.
Greetings trail work volunteers -
Join the Trails Council and Oakmont Village volunteers to help build a new trail on Saturday, January 14th, from 9am to about 3pm.
Meet us at 9am at the Oakmont Village community garden at ~6000 Stone Bridge Road.
Directions: From Hwy 12, take Oakmont Drive, and turn right on Stone Bridge Road. The trail work meeting location is on Stone Bridge Road about a mile north of Oakmont Drive.
Light rain won’t cancel but heavy rain will.
Look for the white SCTC tool trailer. We will provide tools, snacks, beverages and Oakmont will throw a pizza party afterwards as a thank you to the volunteers.
Bring gloves, a hat and water that you can take with you while working, and wear long pants, boots or sturdy shoes and sunscreen.
No experience necessary - we have tools and trained crew leaders with tasks for all strengths and sizes of volunteers. Those under 18 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
In order to make sure we have enough tools, snacks, beverages and pizza please reply to email@example.com if you plan to attend.
